Subject: | Resolution - United Ireland |
This week, we will introduce a resolution calling on the English and Irish Governments to take immediate steps necessary to formally study the implications of a United Ireland and outline fundamental steps to restore the Irish nation. The Irish people and those Pennsylvanians of Irish descent deserve the pride and security of a United Ireland after too many years of violence, bloodshed and division. This is a peace and a unity owed not only to those who proudly call themselves "Irish" today, but more to those who did not live to see a peaceful, United Ireland. Pennsylvania has a very large population of Irish-Americans. This resolution simply tells leaders of Great Britain, the US, Ireland, and Northern Ireland that the PA Senate supports a United Ireland. Please join us in co-sponsoring this resolution. |
