Subject: Veterans Benefits Study
 
Please join us in cosponsoring a resolution asking the Joint State Government Commission to compile a comprehensive listing of benefits and programs for active, Guard, and Reserve service members, Veterans, and their families. This listing will include state agencies, a survey of institutions of higher education and veterans service organizations, as well as a look at other states.

We believe that this information will be useful not only for a recruit to gain a deeper appreciation of all future benefits - from enlistment to end of life - but for the over 900,000 veterans in Pennsylvania to learn about all programs available to them, as well as for state policymakers to understand the broad array of programs and services in Pennsylvania and where we compare to other states.
