Subject: Promotion on the Pennsylvania National Guard Retired List
 
In the near future, we plan to introduce the attached legislation amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) to standardize the process for promotion on the retired list of the Pennsylvania National Guard. This action will codify the standards for the promotion and to ensure compliance with U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force uniform regulations. This legislation will help ensure that the member’s command is required to provide a recommendation to the Adjutant General prior to the approval for an honorary in-state promotion.
