MEMORANDUM

Posted: June 5, 2015 02:30 PM
From: Senator Randy Vulakovich
To: All Senate members
Subject: Veterans Day at the Capitol 2015 (June 10)

Please join me in sponsoring a resolution recognizing Wednesday, June 10, 2015, as "Veterans Day at the Capitol 2015."

On June 10th, veterans from throughout the Commonwealth will highlight the accomplishments and needs of Pennsylvania’s veterans as well as to continue to raise awareness of the issues and benefits veterans receive. Today, there are nearly one million veterans in Pennsylvania. The PA State Veterans Commission - which is comprised of the American Legion, AMVETS, Blinded Veterans Association, Catholic War Veterans of the United States of America, Disabled American Veterans, Jewish War Veterans of the United States, Marine Corps League, Military Officers Association of America, Military Order of the Purple Heart, State Association of County Directors of Veterans’ Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Italian-American War Veterans of the United States, the Vietnam Veterans of America, American Ex-Prisoners of War, and the Keystone Paralyzed Veterans Association - currently represent and serve our veterans community. Meanwhile, the State Veterans Commission is aided by and works with the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.

Again, please join me in sponsoring this resolution. Please call Nate Silcox at 717-787-6538 if you have any questions.
