Subject:	Resolution-NALC Food Drive Day

In the future, I intend to introduce a resolution recognizing May 9, 2015 as National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger! Food Drive Day in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This year will mark the 23rd anniversary for the nation’s largest single-day food drive. These donations provide a critical boost for the summer months, a time when supplies are low and school lunch programs are not available for area youth. To date, local Letter Carriers have delivered more than 2.1 million pounds of food to Second Harvest and other member agencies for distribution for families in need. Please join me in support of this important initiative to increase awareness, to feed our communities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and to “Stamp Out Hunger!” If you have any questions regarding this resolution, please contact Christine Zubeck in my office at 717-787-6123 or czubeck@pasen.gov.
