Subject: Automatic Payroll Deduction For Senate Employees
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution that will direct the Chief Clerk of the Senate to automatically deduct a portion of Senate employees’ paychecks to fund their respective caucus campaign committee.

Currently, the Commonwealth provides unionized state employees with the service and convenience of having a portion of their paychecks automatically deducted to cover union dues and PAC contributions. The money collected can be used for activities similar to SRCC or SDCC functions such as producing campaign mailers, conducting polling, and other political activities. My legislation will offer the same convenience to Senate employees that is currently offered to unionized government employees.
