MEMORANDUM

From: Senator Rob Teplitz
To: All Senate members
Subject: Resolution – Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Central Dauphin High School

In the near future, I am planning to introduce a resolution that will commemorate the 60th anniversary of Central Dauphin High School.

Originally built in 1955, Central Dauphin High School is one of the largest public high schools in south-central Pennsylvania. In 2006 it was relocated to a new 300,000+ square-foot state-of-the-art learning facility.

Along with an extensive academic program Central Dauphin High School also supports a multitude of clubs and athletic activities that provide students with a rich and diverse high school experience that encompasses the arts, honor organizations, community service and volunteer organizations, as well as a variety of other clubs based on student interest.

Notable alumni of Central Dauphin High School include Olympic Gold Medalist Jeremy Linn, ESPN NASCAR Broadcaster Marty Reid, and 2012 Indoor Track and Field Shot Put World Champion Ryan Whiting to name a few.

I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring a resolution that honors this school which has provided 60 years of service to its community, my alma mater, Central Dauphin High School.
