Subject: | Legislation on Filing of Tax Returns |
I am planning on reintroducing Senate Bill 613 from the last legislative session. This bill would extend the deadline for the filing of any tax return or the payment of any tax without penalty for residents of Pennsylvania serving in the armed forces of the U.S. The deadline would be extended for 180 days following the date of the return to the U.S. of the residents who are serving in the armed forces. This would apply to residents released from active duty and those released from military or veterans hospitals in the case of a service-connected injury. Any spouse of an individual covered under this bill would have the same rights and be subject to the same restrictions. This was SB 160 in the previous session and the following Senators were cosponsors: WILLIAMS, GREENLEAF, TEPLITZ, BREWSTER, STACK, TARTAGLIONE, HUTCHINSON, BROWNE, MENSCH, SMITH, WARD, KITCHEN, VOGEL, FARNESE, VULAKOVICH, WHITE , FONTANA, RAFFERTY, COSTA, FOLMER, BOSCOLA and BLAKE |
Introduced as SB379
