Subject: Contact Number on Internet Homepages State Agencies
 
In the very near future, I will be re-introducing legislation, SB 1475, which will require all state agencies to display a general contact phone number on the home page of their internet websites. All state agencies have an internet home page but some of them currently do not post a contact number on their home page. For citizens who need to contact such state agencies for information or assistance, the lack of a clear and easily visible contact number can create frustration and an unnecessary divide between citizens and state government. It is very important that individuals have access to their government and I feel my legislation will promote better service to Pennsylvanians.
