Subject: Introduction of Legislation on Excluding Certain Transactions from the Realty Transfer Tax
 
I am planning on reintroducing legislation that would exempt certain property transactions from having to pay the realty transfer tax. The Tax Reform Code would be amended to exclude a transfer for no nominal actual consideration from a corporation not-for-profit, all of the members of which are members of a veterans service organization. Such transactions would be exempted from the realty transfer tax.

Last session this was SB 617 and the following Senators were cosponsors: RAFFERTY, FONTANA, SOLOBAY, COSTA AND BREWSTER

Introduced as SB163
