Subject: Unrealized Dividends Exempted From Income
 
I intend to reintroduce Senate Bill 262 of 2011, legislation that will amend the Taxpayer Relief Act to exclude unrealized dividends and stock dividends from calculating income to determine eligibility under the property tax/rent rebate program. This will assist many senior citizens who narrowly miss the eligibility income limits because of dividends from which they have not received any benefit.
