Subject: | Co Sponsorship: Free Fishing License for Disabled Veterans |
In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation that would amend Title 30 (Fish) to provide that a veteran who is 50 percent disabled, as certified by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and who meet certain qualifications, shall be issued a free resident fishing license. Currently, the requirement is that the veteran must be 100 percent disabled. This legislation was SB 1279 during the 2011-12 session. Previous co-sponsors included Senators Baker, Rafferty, Tartaglione, Washington, Farnese, Erickson, Greenleaf, Solobay, Costa, Browne, Hughes, Blake, Boscola, Brewster, Dinniman, Ferlo, Kitchen, Leach, Stack, Williams, Wozniak, Yudichak, Ward and Mensch. |
