Subject: Resolution - Unpaid Child Support
 
In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution to have the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee study on casino intercepts that have been instituted in other states for collecting delinquent child support. Seven other states currently have the means in which casino winnings can be withheld if a winner has a warrant out for them due to unpaid child support.

The states are Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Mexico and Louisiana. These states have found reasonable ways in which to collect unpaid child support payments in a reputable and expedited fashion.
