Subject: Co Sponsorship: Captain Sean M. Ruane Memorial Highway
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would designate the Fleming Park Road section of Route 51 that intersects with Coraopolis Road in Kennedy Township, Allegheny County, as the Captain Sean M. Ruane Memorial Highway.

Sean M. Ruane was a Captain in the United States Air Force who was one of four crew members killed in a helicopter crash in England on January 7, 2014. The Kennedy Township resident was conducting a low-level training flight at the time of the crash and is survived by a wife, Rachel, and his one year old son, Liam. Captain Ruane had been deployed to Iraq three times and two to Afghanistan.
