Subject: Discharge Petition for Human Services Block Grant Study
 
Yesterday, I expressed my disappointment over the lack of movement on my resolution calling for an independent study of the Human Services Development Block Grant Program that was the subject of an agreement that was made, almost a year ago.

Today, I ask you to support my Discharge Petition to authorize a floor vote on SR 225.

Recently, we have worked with the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) on SR 255’s language and will offer an amendment, when the resolution is considered, that incorporates their suggested changes. With these changes, CCAP will be NEUTRAL on the resolution.

Please remember that SR 225 DOES NOT prohibit the expansion of the Human Services Development Block Grant Program, but just provides an independent study on a program that provides services to our most vulnerable members of our communities.
