Subject: Resolution for Education for Youth Experiencing Homelessness Awareness Week
 
I will be introducing a resolution next week to declare October 28 – November 1, 2013 as Pennsylvania Education for Youth Experiencing Homelessness Awareness Week

Not to be confused with Homeless Children's Awareness Week which was recently designated in SR 221, the intent of Pennsylvania Education for Youth Experiencing Homelessness Awareness Week is to specifically encourage schools, communities, and individuals to plan for and support youth experiencing homeless assistance programs as they look to complete their education.

Please join me in recognizing this week and the unique services these students need to thrive in an educational setting.
