MEMORANDUM

Posted: October 1, 2013 03:22 PM
From: Senator Stewart J. Greenleaf
To: All Senate members
Subject: SP4 Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr. Memorial Bridge

I am introducing legislation designating a bridge on that portion of State Route 263 over the Pennypack Creek, Borough of Hatboro, Montgomery County, as the SP4 Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr. Memorial Bridge.

Robert Preston Ruttle, Jr., a resident of Hatboro, Montgomery County, began his tour of duty in Vietnam on November 15, 1968 as a Specialist 4 with the 101st Airborne Division. On June 5, 1969, SP4 Ruttle, age 23, was killed in Quang Tin Province by an enemy explosive device while valiantly serving his country.

Representative Thomas Murt has sponsored identical legislation (House Bill 1341) in the House of Representatives.

Introduced as SB1161
