Subject: Resolution - Turkish Cultural Day in PA
 
In the near future I will be introducing legislation that would honor Monday, June 3rd, 2013 as the 4th Annual Turkic Cultural Day in Pennsylvania.

Turkish Americans promote cross-cultural awareness that is based on mutual respect and understanding of the Turkish Culture. The vision of the Turkish culture is bringing everyone together in an open dialog.

Evidence has been shown that the Ottoman Empire (Turks) helped my home country of Ireland during the Great Hunger or what's also known as the Irish Potato Famine of the 1800s. The Turkish American community is dedicated to building bridges of understanding among people from all walks of life through dialogue and mutual respect.
