Subject: Men’s Health Awareness Day
 

I will soon introduce a resolution designating Tuesday, April 16, 2013, as Men’s Health Awareness Day in Pennsylvania.

Despite advances in medical technology and research, men continue to live an average of five years less than women. My resolution points out that many of the premature causes of death of men are preventable with early detection and treatment and an emphasis on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and early detection of male health problems.

I hope you join me in co-sponsoring this resolution
