Session of 2013 - 2014 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 27, 2013 03:58 PM
From: Senator Lloyd K. Smucker
To: All Senate members
Subject: Smucker - The abolishment of the office of jury commissioner

Within the next several days, I will be introducing legislation that amends the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130).

The bill, formerly SB 386 of the 2011-2012 session, would provide that the governing body of a county of the third through eighth class may adopt, by a majority vote, a resolution abolishing the office of jury commissioner. The office of jury commissioner would expire at the completion of the current jury commissioners' terms of office.

If you have any questions, please contact Tabitha Hummer at thummer@pasen.gov.

Introduced as SB808
