Subject: | Regional Fluctuation of State-Wide Judges |
In the near future I will be introducing legislation addressing the fluctuation of state-wide judges. I propose the Commonwealth, using 2010 census data, shall create 7 districts for Supreme Court, 7 districts for Commonwealth Court, and 7 districts for Superior Court. As retention elections come into play, a district will be randomly selected. That is the seat that will be filled. Requirements for office will be the same as it is now except there will be a residency requirement identical to the State Senate requirement. This seat is now secure for 10 years. This process shall be replicated until all positions are filled. If you have any questions about this legislation please feel free to contact Josh Myers of my staff at jmyers@pasenate.com or 787-5400. Thank you. |
