Subject: Life Sciences Day in Pennsylvania
 
We plan to introduce a resolution designating Tuesday, March 19, 2013, as “Life Sciences Day” in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has a rich history of research and innovation including the nation’s first hospital, medical school and college of pharmacy. Today it leads the United States with 13 world-renowned research institutions and is ranked #4 in the nation in terms of life science-related patents. Today the life science industry employs nearly 80,000 residents and is a cornerstone to Pennsylvania’s economic future. Therefore, we hope you join us in co-sponsoring this resolution designating March 19 as “Life Sciences Day” in Pennsylvania.
