Subject: Co Sponsorship: National Volunteer Week Resolution
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing the week of April 21 through 27, 2013, as “National Volunteer Week” in Pennsylvania.

National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate people doing extraordinary things through service. Established in 1974, National Volunteer Week focuses national attention on the impact and power of volunteerism and service as an integral aspect of our civic leadership.

I hope you’ll please join me in celebrating the role volunteerism has played in communities across the country.
