Subject:	Special Registration Plates

In the near future, I will be introducing legislation amending Title 75 of the Vehicle Code to include the use of special registration plates for motorcycles, motor homes and trailers that are a part of a special group. The law currently reads that special registration plates may be used only on a passenger car or truck. By amending Title 75 to include motorcycles, motor homes and trailers, groups such as the Harley Owners’ Group ®, the official riding club of Harley-Davidson, would be permitted to obtain special registration plates approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for their use.
