Subject: National Disability Employment Awareness Month – October 2018
 
“National Disability Employment Awareness Month” is a time to celebrate and recognize the many and varied contributions of individuals with all types of disabilities in the workplace. We intend to introduce a resolution designating October 2018 as “National Disability Employment Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.


This year’s theme is “America’s Workforce: Empowering All.” Pennsylvania workers have a history of standing up for their rights and ensuring access to good, family–sustaining jobs. Through raising awareness and highlighting the contributions of these talented individuals, we can grow our economy by empowering all workers and expanding our inclusive workforce.


We ask for your support and to join us in co-sponsoring this resolution to raise awareness of the contributions of talented workers with disabilities.
