In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution congratulating the Pennsylvania State University wrestling team on winning their seventh NCAA National Championship.

Last year,the Penn State wrestling team was described as "dominant," but it is time we use the correct word and call them what they truly are, a dynasty. Over the past eight years, the PSU wrestling team has won seven national championships, it’s most recent on March 17, 2018. In addition to winning the team championship, four PSU wrestlers, Zain Retherford (149), Jason Nolf (157), Vincenzo Joseph (165) and Bo Nickal (184), won individual national championships in their respective weight classes. In addition to winning his third national championship in his weight class, Zain Retherford became Penn State's first back-to-back Dan Hodge Trophy winner as the nation's top collegiate wrestler. And, Penn State wrestling tied a school record for most All-Americans in a season with eight-Nick Lee, Zain Retherford, Jason Nolf, Vincenzo Joseph, Mark Hall, Bo Nickal, Shakur Rasheed, and Nick Nevills - being awarded the honor this year. Although the wrestlers' accomplishments are so many, it all begins with the leadership of their coach, Cael Sanderson, who has been the foundation for the dynasty that is the Penn State wrestling program.
