Subject: Limitation on Liability of Foster Care Agencies
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a bill that will help to lower the overhead costs of agencies that provide crucial foster care services across the Commonwealth. The legislation, which will impose modest limitations on liability for private, nonprofit agencies to bring them in line with the county agencies that do the same work, should result in a significant savings on insurance premiums. Additionally, creating parity between governmental agencies and nonprofit agencies that provide services on their behalf will ensure that similarly situated claimants will be treated similarly.
