Subject: Non-profits Competing with For-profits
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that will impose the state corporate net income tax on a competing not-for-profit entity engaging in a competing segment of business.

Specifically, for tax purposes, all entities that are currently tax exempt due to tax filing status (i.e. non-profit, not-for-profit) in the state of Pennsylvania shall be considered for-profit entities for the segment or segments of business in which they compete in a "space" against for-profit entities. This designation change would apply only to the segment of business in which they compete against for profit businesses.
