MEMORANDUM

Posted: April 19, 2017 03:46 PM
From: Representative Donna Oberlander
To: All House members
Subject: Prohibiting DEP from promulgating new regulations for a period of 24 months

In the near future I will introduce legislation that would prohibit the Department of Environmental Protection from promulgating new regulations for a period of 24 months.

As you may know, the Department is behind on their normal permitting process and many applicants are waiting months for approval. Additionally, the number one issue raised by job creators is the burdensome overregulation in state government. This legislation would prohibit the creation of new regulations until current permitting applications are processed.

I hope you will consider co-sponsoring, what I believe, is an important piece of legislation. Thank you.

Introduced as HB1298
