Subject: | Creating the Pennsylvania Business Portal |
In the near future, we plan to introduce a bill that would create a “Pennsylvania Business Portal.” This bill would create the Bureau of Business Assistance under the Department of Community of Economic Development (DCED). Under this plan, “Business liaisons” would interface with a business considering moving to Pennsylvania or a new business trying to open in Pennsylvania. A business liaison will help business owners navigate through the red tape, assist with bureaucratic road bumps along the way, and work hand-in-hand with a business until its doors open. The Bureau of Business Assistance would be required to prepare and submit an annual report to the General Assembly reporting the number and type of businesses assisted in the year, the number of jobs created by those businesses, and any business trends for companies looking to relocate to the Commonwealth. We hope that you will join us in co-sponsoring this important legislation and streamline state government for Pennsylvania business owners. |
