Subject: | Direct Shipment of Spirits |
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that will establish in the Liquor Code, a section relating to the direct shipment of spirits to residents of our Commonwealth. The last legislative session brought historic change to our archaic liquor system. This session, we must press forward with further changes to our liquor system to continue to bring convenience to the residents of this Commonwealth. My legislation would allow a producer or manufacturer of spirits, who is licensed by the LCB or another state or country, to obtain a direct spirits shipper license. A direct spirits shipper licensee will be permitted to ship no more than nine liter of spirits per month in a year to a resident of the Commonwealth, who must be at least 21 years old. Thank you in advance for consideration of my legislation. If you have any questions, please contact my Harrisburg office at (717) 783-1673 or email at lnissly@pahousegop.com. |
