Subject: Cosponsorship of Resolution Marking the 75th Anniversary of the Bataan Death March
 
I will be introducing a resolution to remember the 75th Anniversary of the Bataan Death March.

The March began on April 9, 1942. Thousands of American and Filipino prisoners of war were moved more than 60 miles from San Fernando to a Japanese-run prison camp. Along the March, thousands of soldiers were starved, beaten, and killed.

Please join me in commemorating April 9, 2017 as Bataan Death March Remembrance Day and honoring the sacrifice of those who died 75 years ago.
