Subject: | Homeowners Association Contributions Tax Deduction (Prior HB 1001) |
As you all are aware, many homeowners across the state are having a difficult time keeping up with all of their financial obligations as it relates to their home. I am planning to reintroduce legislation that will assist all Pennsylvania homeowners that are required to contribute to a homeowners association. My legislation would permit homeowners to deduct 75% of the total amount they remitted to a qualifying association from their state PIT return. Our current economic climate has placed a large burden on homeowners by adding additional or increasing financial obligation.
