Subject:	Don't Be A Scrooge (Sales Tax Exemption for Christmas Trees)

In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation which would exempt Christmas Tree Farms from having to collect sales tax on Christmas trees. Currently, Christmas trees are the only agricultural product which is not exempted from sales tax. This legislation would establish uniformity in our tax code while marginally reducing the cost of Christmas trees for families during the Holiday season.
