Subject: Resolution Marking the 100th Anniversary of the United States Entering WWI
 
I will be introducing a resolution in honor of the anniversary of the United States Congress declaring war on Germany on April 6, 1917.

On April 2, 1917, President Woodrow Wilson asked Congress to hold a special session to declare war on Germany. Congress held session on April 6, 1917. The Senate passed the resolution 82 to 6, and the House of Representatives passed it 373 to 50.

Please join me in commemorating the 100th anniversary of this significant event. Thank you.
