Session of 2015 - 2016 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: September 16, 2016 10:49 AM
From: Representative John Taylor
To: All House members
Subject: Designating October as Polish American Heritage Month

Since 1608, Polish people have contributed greatly to America. This year, Polish Americans will celebrate the 83rd anniversary of Philadelphia's Pulaski Day Parade and the 35th anniversary of Polish American Heritage Month celebrated during October, an event which began in Philadelphia and became a national celebration.

To bring appropriate recognition to these special events, I am planning to introduce a House Resolution proclaiming Sunday, October 2, 2016 as Pulaski Day in Pennsylvania and October as Polish American Heritage Month. This year also marks the 408th anniversary of the First Police Settlers in America.

I invite you to join me in sponsoring this legislation.
