Subject: Resolution - "Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day" in Pennsylvania - October 10, 2016
 
I will shortly be introducing a resolution declaring October 10, 2016 as “Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day” in Pennsylvania. The purpose of this resolution is to focus public awareness on driver behavior, vehicle safety, and roadway improvement in an effort to reduce the number of traffic fatalities that occur on U.S. highways every year. This is part of a national effort to increase public awareness about the causes of and need to reduce traffic fatalities.
