Subject: COSPONSOR MEMO – Liquor License Renewal Surcharge Reduction
 
Dear Colleagues –

In the immediate future, I will introduce language reducing the newly instituted liquor license renewal surcharge.

In recent days, there has been significant discussion of the $700 liquor license renewal surcharge instituted under Act 39 of 2016. The new $700 fee will be charged to each and every liquor licensee statewide, every year.

My legislation will reduce this fee from $700 to $200. I would appreciate your support.
