Subject:	June 2016 as Dairy Month and Dairy Farmers Apprecation Month

In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution that designates June 2016 as Dairy Month and Dairy Farmers Appreciation Month. Dairy farming is a proud family tradition in this Commonwealth, 99% of dairy farms in Pennsylvania are family owned. Pennsylvania has the second largest number of dairy farms nationally and ranks 5th nationally in total milk production. This resolution recognizes the importance of the dairy industry in Pennsylvania and honors the dairy farmers and their families in the Commonwealth for their hard work and contribution to the state and local economies. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution.
