FROM: Tim Hennessey & Steve Samuelson Chairmen, House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee TO: All Members of the House of Representatives SUBJECT: Resolution Declaring May 2016 as Older Pennsylvanians Month Please join us in recognizing the month of May as "Older Pennsylvanians Month" in Pennsylvania. Traditionally, May has been recognized as "Older Americans Month" here in Pennsylvania and across the nation. This year’s theme is “Blaze A Trail.” We want to emphasize the ways older adults are reinventing themselves through new work and new passions, engaging their communities, and blazing a trail of positive impact on the lives of people of all ages. Older Pennsylvanians are leading and inspiring others. We continue to recognize older adults for their contributions to our communities. As Chairmen of the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee, we offer this resolution to specifically honor the older citizens of our Commonwealth.
