Subject: Global Youth Traffic Safety Month in Pennsylvania - May 2016
 

I will soon be introducing a resolution calling for the recognition of May 2016 as Global Youth Traffic Safety Month in Pennsylvania.

During the month of May, many important events occur in the lives of young drivers which provide us with an opportune time to increase their awareness of traffic safety. Many are attending proms and graduations, and all are looking forward to summer vacation months. With the resources of the National Safety Council, the Pennsylvania Teen Safety Driving Coalition, the PA DUI Association, and PA SADD, we too can play a part in encouraging their safe driving habits and educating both youth and their families about youth traffic safety.

Respectfully, I invite you to join me in co-sponsoring this resolution and continue to educate our youth about traffic safety.
