Subject: Teacher Education Day - May 17, 2016
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution designating May 17, 2016 as “Teacher Education Day” in Pennsylvania.

Teacher educators play an indispensable role in fostering the development of student teachers and teachers and improving the quality of the educator workforce. In Pennsylvania many teacher educators commit their professional lives to preparing teachers for success in the Commonwealth’s classrooms.

I hope that you will join me in recognizing the outstanding service of the teacher educators who prepare teachers for Pennsylvania’s classrooms by co-sponsoring this resolution.
