Subject: | Designation of a Section of State Route 2029, at Segment 0220 offset 1800 in Lehigh County as the Blankstone Alpaca Farm Highway |
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that would designate a section of State Route 2029, at Segment 0220 offset 1800 in Lehigh County at the Blankstone Alpaca Farm Highway. The Blankstone Alpaca Farm hosts a colonial-period structure that was originally built in 1790 by George Blanck and expanded by his son in 1798. The property included a cottage that housed the Blankstone Fiber Boutique, a small business that sold knitwear and yarn derived from the alpacas raised on the farm for 20 years. The Blankstone Farm is a symbol of an enduring commitment to the preservation of the historical spaces of this Commonwealth and the development of small businesses with a focus on locally sourced products. Please join me in supporting this legislation. If you have any questions regarding this legislation, please contact Lori Nissly at (717) 783-1673 or lnissly@pahousegop.com. |
