Subject: April 2016 as "Community Banking Month"
 
As you know, more than 180 Community Banks in this Commonwealth continue the tradition of giving back to their local communities through nearly 1,200 banking offices.

With more than $110 billion in assets, community banks know that when money stays in a town it becomes a renewable resource, creating an economic cycle that constantly revitalizes and stimulates local communities.

In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing April as "Community Banking Month" in Pennsylvania recognizing the strong tradition of our community banks in Pennsylvania as they partner with local citizens and businesses in the development of our communities.
