Subject: 150th Anniversary of The Salvation Army Resolution
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution to commemorate The Salvation Army on its 150th anniversary. Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless, opportunities for underprivileged children, and much more. The Salvation Army is there every day, 24-hours-a-day, in Pennsylvania and throughout the country providing aid to people in crisis. I am proud to celebrate The Salvation Army’s 150 years of service and hope you will join me in cosponsoring this resolution to recognize and thank its volunteers for all of their service and good work.
