Subject: 5 Year Gaming License Renewal
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that will amend Title 4 (Amusements) to change license renewal periods from every 3 years to every 5 years.

Currently, Title 4 requires casinos and several other gaming-related entities to renew their licenses with the PA Gaming Control Board every 3 years. While this may have been necessary during the infancy of the Commonwealth’s casino industry, the industry has matured and proven its integrity. I believe increasing the renewal period to 5 years while lesson an unnecessary bureaucratic requirement while not jeopardizing the ability of the PGCB to properly regulate the Commonwealth’s gaming industry.
