Session of 2015 - 2016 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: April 23, 2015 04:27 PM
From: Representative John Taylor
To: All House members
Subject: Repeal 1965 Act authorizing the Department of Highways, with the Approval of Governor, to erect and maintain a toll bridge over the Monongahela River.

In the near future, I will introduce legislation which repeals an archaic law from May 27, 1965 (former HB 2371 of 2013-2014).

The current law allows the Department of Highways, with approval of the Governor, to erect and maintain a bridge over the Monongahela River in Washington and Allegheny Counties.

This legislation would repeal this entire law, and PennDOT has stated that it is in full support of repeal.

Thank you for your consideration.

Introduced as HB1199
