| Subject: | Condolence Resolution for Police Officer Mark Allen Hudson |
| In the near future, I will be introducing a condolence resolution honoring the life of Darby Borough Police Officer Mark Allen Hudson who tragically lost his life on March 28, 2015. Mr. Hudson was the victim of a gunshot wound inflicted at his home in Darby Township. His girlfriend has been charged with murder. Mr. Hudson proudly served as a police officer with the Darby Borough Police Department since 2012. The Department’s police chief hailed Mr. Hudson as a “shining star” in the department. Mr. Hudson also worked for the Yeadon Police Department prior to his employment with the Darby Borough Police Department. Additionally, Mr. Hudson served as a volunteer firefighter with the Yeadon Fire Company No. 1 since the age of sixteen and achieved the rank of lieutenant by the age of nineteen. On March 28, 2015, Mr. Hudson was tragically shot at his home and despite the best efforts of police and medical personnel, he passed away. He is survived by his parents and a brother. Please join us in honoring the life and service of Mark Allen Hudson who committed his life to protecting others. |
