Subject: | Request to Cosponsor - Resolution Honoring Professional Golfer Rocco Mediate |
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution honoring Rocco Mediate for his outstanding career as a professional golfer. Rocco Mediate was born December 17, 1962 in Greensburg, PA and attended Florida Southern College where he was a member of the golf team, leading the college to the 1985 Division II national team championship; he turned professional in 1985, and in 1992 became the first player to win on the PGA Tour by using a long putter when he won the Doral-Ryder Open. Mr. Mediate has been featured in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Ranking and is considered to be one of the best putters in golf and has a total of twelve professional wins, including six PGA Tour wins, two Champions Tour wins and four additional wins and is currently on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. Please join me in honoring Rocco Mediate. |
