Subject: National Day of Prayer Resolution
 
Once again this year, I will be offering my Rule 35 resolution for the House's recognition of May 7, 2015, as the National Day of Prayer in Pennsylvania. This day is set aside to pray for our nation, and is held on the first Thursday of May. This annual event was not created for political reasons, but exists to encourage all citizens to pray for our leaders, communities, families, and each other, and for national healing, reconciliation and unity. It is completely nonsectarian.

This resolution has always been a noncontroversial Rule 35 resolution and the language of the resolution is attached. Please join me and cosponsor this resolution.
